Discerning the Times

"If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes. For the days will come upon you when your enemies will throw up a barricade against you, and surround you and hem you in on every side, and they will level you to the ground and your children within you, and they will not leave in you one stone upon another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation."

These words of Jesus recorded in Luke 19 clearly state the importance of recognizing the signs of the times. His chosen people did not recognize His first coming, and He is warning the Church that it is imperative that we do not make the same mistake. I believe that the bible gives straight forward directions on the course of the believers during the critical times that we have now entered. There is a call going out to this generation to gain wisdom through an understanding of the scriptures that is becoming rapidly relevant yet not previously understood.  "But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase." (Daniel 12:4) NKJV.   When King David came in to power and was recruiting the military from the Tribes of Israel, a special designation was give to “The Sons of Issachar, men who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do” (1 Chronicles 12:32) NKJV. As we continue with the post on the Revelation blog, it is my goal to assist in leading you in to an understanding of Scripture concerning the ministry of the Church during the dramatic and perilous end of the age events.
